"The Consequences Of Disobedience"

"The Consequences Of Disobedience"

1Samuel 15:23 For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king.

Rebellion is a dangerous thing. When the Lord tells you to do something, it is best that you do it and not hesitate in getting it done. God deals with disobedience different than what we would. When Saul was King of Israel he was told by the Lord to smite Amaalek, and utterly destroy all that they have and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. But Saul did not do that. he ended up sparing the life of Agag the king of the Amalekites and the best of the sheep, and oxen and the fatlings and lambs and all that was good. That was not what God told him to do.

And for disobeying the word of the Lord, judgment was brought upon Saul. The Lord ended up rejecting him from being king.  It is a terrible thing to be rejected from God. You will be rejected if you reject the word of God and what it says. You can read about the story in 1 Samuel chapter 15.

Judgment from God is nothing to play around with and the hour that we are living in is the hour to repent and make it right with God and to ask for His mercy instead of being rejected.

Words of Warning!!

2 Timothy 4:1-4  I charge [thee] therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears

And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

This is what the Lord has instructed me to do and I am going to do it.
