"What To Expect In 2009"

 magnify ..

"Pastor Don Stewart II at Columbus Ohio Airport "

"What To Expect in 2009"

This is what I believe the Lord has been speaking to me about the upcoming year of 2009 and I pray that you seek the Lord with all your heart on this matter as well.

The number 9 in scripture is the last of the digits and it marks the end; and it is significant of the conclusion of the matter. It is the number of finality or judgment especially divine judgment. It also denotes finality in divine things. There are (9) fruits of the Spirit and there are (9) manifestations of the Spirit.

What I truly believe is going to take place for the year of 2009 after praying and seeking the Lord is a lot of things. I truly feel that judgment is coming to America Why do I say this? Because it is time. America has turned it's back on God, and God has to deal with us and as He already has begun to do so, as we can see from our economy and other situations that God is trying to get our attention.

I also believe that sometime soon during the year of 2009, The Last Great Awaking is going to take place and we will see the final remnant come into the family of God and we will also see miracles and experience them like we never have before. God wants us to be blessed and we can be blessed and we will be blessed if we stay in tuned to God and His word and live a Holy life before Him. We will come through the hard times. Hard times are going to be for those who do not live according to God's word.

I also believe things around the world are not going to get better but worse except for those who turn to Jesus as He will bring them out because He will take care of those who put there trust in Him and for those who live the life of Holiness. Hebrews 12:10 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

We need to realize that in the year 2009 God wants us to expect bigger and better things from Him, as He wants to show up and show out but we must apply ourselves to the way He wants us to live, and that means to be separated from the things of the world. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

When we get ourselves to live like this God will allow the year of 2009 to be the greatest that the body of Christ has ever seen. I truly believe that the body of Christ is like a pregnant woman at this time, and we have been experiencing a lot of birthing pains, and going through a lot but as the year 2009 approaches we must get ready to give birth to many great things that God wants to do within the body of Christ, so He can prepare His church for the final call before His return. There are many who have been travailing in prayer for the body of Christ and I truly believe that this is the year that they will see those prayers answered. I feel the Lord telling me to tell you Get Ready Get Ready !!!!

I pray this message has been a blessing to you. If you want to learn more about this ministry please go to our web site www.faithpowerministries.org And plesase sign our guest book.

"The Authority Of The Believer"

"The Auhtority Of The Believer"

According to Ephesians 6;12, we wrestle against principalities, powers, and the rulers of darknesss. These are evil spirits. Our combat with the devil should be with the consincensness that we have authority over him. In Luke 10:19 Jesus says, "I give you authority to tread on seperants and scorpions and over all power of the enemy." What is authority? Authority is delegated power.

Ephesians 1:20-23 tells us when Christ was ascended, He transfered His Authority to the church. Christ is seated at the right hand of the father -place of Authority. The source of our Authority is found in the resurrection and exhortation and exaltation of Christ by God.

Ephesians 2:5-6 deals with the conferring of authority. The authority was delegated not only in the body but also upon the head because the head and body are one. Mark 16:17, 18 and Revelation 12:11 show in three resources we use in excercising authority over the devil. They are the Name of Jesus the Word, and the blood of Jesus.

The authority is yours whether you feel like you've got it or not. Authority has nothing to do with feelings. (Mark 16:18) James 4:7 indicates that in exercising authority over the devil we must resist him, then he will flee us .

The God-Kind Of Life

"The God-Kind Of Life"

The Word Zoe in the New Testament means the God-Kind of life. Why did Jesus come to earth? According to John10:10, he came to bring Abundant Life. Another way of describing the God-Kind of life is found in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."

In the Old Testament, Ezekiel 36:26-27, we find out that when talking about the "new birth" the words heart and spirit are interchangeable. When we are born again it is the spirit of man and not the body of man that is made new. What does it mean to be made new? The New Testament word for "new" in Ephesians 4:24 does not mean something more recent in time, but something having a changed spirit-life.

If your mind is not renewed with the Word of God, it will side with your flesh and dominate your spirit. The old man has to be crucified with Christ and the mind renewed. Romans 6:6 and 12:1-2

I pray that this has been a blessing to you.

"Getting Back to the Basics"

"Getting Back To The Basics"

The Basic- The Need No Prayer No Power

Isaiah 59:16 And he saw that [there was] no man, and wondered that [there was] no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him

Jesus came to earth as a intercessor, and He died as one and he now lives as an intercessor. Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

1 Timothy 2:5 For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Jesus continually drew away from the mulitudes to pray at times, praying all night. We must have the same comminent to prayer that Jesus has.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

I pray that you will take this message serious and know that if you do not pray you will have no power. Prayer is what releases the power of God within you. Make a commitment today and stick to it. Pray and have fellowship with God on a daily basis and watch your life begin to turn around for the better. Jesus wants to have a talk with you today!

Draw the Line / By Kimberly Daniels

Draw The Line / By Kimberly Daniels

As a child in the 1960s I rode in the back of the bus. I was at the front of the riot lines in the 1970s, when I hit white boys on the head with bricks and dragged white girls down sidewalks near my school. I also experienced serious racism when I was an athlete in college.

I have been called the "N" word many times. I was taught to hate white people, and some of my relatives still call white people names such as "honky" and "cracker." But after I found Jesus, I was delivered from racism.
I am free indeed!

The residue of my abuse has dried up at the root, and I am no longer a victim of what I call "ricochet racism." This occurs when the abused becomes the abuser.

Ricochet racism is a hellacious boomerang that grips the victim with pride and makes him think he has a right to hate. When I was saved, God taught me that I did not have a right to hate white people. Jesus nailed all my excuses to the cross, and I moved on.

Now that I am a born-again Christian, I do not consider my race to be my primary identity. I am a Christian first—before I am an African-American, a Democrat or a Republican. That's why I am troubled that so many African-American Christians are voting for Barack Obama simply because he is black.

If someone won't vote for a person because of race, we call this racism.
But it is also racism when someone votes for a person because of his race!

Believe me, I would love to see a black brother in the White House—but not someone like Obama, who has embraced humanistic doctrines. Many white preachers are afraid to say this, and many black preachers won't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

I love Obama and pray for him and his family. But as Elijah troubled Ahab in Israel, I will challenge his views because they are dangerous to our religious liberties. It's time to draw the line.

Black Christians today need to put their faith first when they step into the voting booth.
Does Obama represent godly values?

We know, for example, that he is an inclusionist. For 20 years he attended a church in Chicago that preaches that (1) Jesus is not the only way to God; (2) there is no hell; and (3) God will allow homosexuals to go to heaven even if they remain in their sinful state. Obama also has defended the killing of unborn babies, even in the third trimester.

He claims to be a Christian, but in his book The Audacity of Hope he calls the first chapter of Romans an "obscure" passage of Scripture. God's admonition about the sin of homosexuality is hardly obscure.
It is very clear!

Jesus is the only way to God, and God will surely send homosexuals to hell if they do not turn from their ways and accept Christ—just as He will do for all other sinners who do not trust Jesus.

Regardless of political opinions, the Bible makes it clear: Those who support the homosexual agenda and the murder of unborn babies will be judged (see Rom. 1:32). These were the main issues in the days of ancient Israel, and they are critical issues today.

The pro-abortion movement is tied to the worship of two idols, Chemosh and Molech, the gods of child sacrifice. The movement toward gay marriage is rooted in the spirit of gameo, a Greek word that refers to same-sex marriage (see Matt. 24:38).

How can we vote for politicians who favor these ungodly movements? The Bible says we must separate ourselves from sin and wickedness. God is looking for faithful Christians who will not bow to the gods of this world.

I know what I am saying is not popular, and some people will denounce me for it. But I believe it is time to draw a line.

Believers can no longer make excuses by pulling their race cards, leaning on their lukewarm denominational rules or hiding under the covering of a political party. If we want America to recover, we must repent. We must choose the right side.

We must stand strong for what we believe and hold our ground. We must declare, as Joshua did, "Whoever is on God's side ... stand with me!"

An African pastor’s Uncomfortable Warning to America/ By J. Lee Grady

An African Pastor's Uncomfortable Warning to America

By J. Lee Grady

Mbijiwe Mwenda says we are being naive to ignore Barack Obama's ties to a dangerous Kenyan politician.
Mbijiwe Mwenda is a voice crying in the wilderness—from the other side of the world.

The Kenyan pastor, founder of Glory Cathedral Church in Nairobi, does not have a voice on CNN or Fox News. But he has been warning Christians during a recent visit to the United States that more is at stake in the 2008 election than anyone supposed.

"Many Americans do not seem to realize the price that has been paid for your freedom," Mwenda says. "I am afraid we are about to lose the America we have known in the past—the America that has been a hope for the world."

Mwenda's main concern: That Democratic presidential challenger Barack Obama has a cozy relationship with Raila Odinga, an avowed Marxist politician who now serves as Kenya's prime minister. Obama, who made taxpayer-funded visits to Kenya in 2004, 2005 and 2006, campaigned for Odinga in 2006.

During public appearances in Kenya, Odinga introduced Obama as his cousin. But later a family member denied that claim, saying that Odinga and Obama's father, Barack Obama Sr., simply came from the same village. Both Obama Sr. and Odinga are from the Luo tribe, Kenya's third largest.

When Odinga ran for president of Kenya last year and lost by a slim margin, tribal violence erupted amid claims of voter fraud. About 150,000 people died (many were killed in machete attacks), hundreds of churches were burned and 600,000 villagers were displaced. The international community had to broker a peace deal, allowing Odinga to serve as prime minister while his opponent, Mwai Kibaki, was named president.

Today, Odinga hopes that Obama will win the White House on Nov. 4 to boost support for his bid to become president of Kenya in 2012.

Pastor Mwenda says he is amazed that Americans don't seem concerned that Obama is tied to Odinga. He rattled off a list of facts that Charisma has verified:

· Odinga was trained in communist ideology in Europe and holds Marxist views. "He even named his son Fidel Castro," Mwenda says.
· He has obvious ties to Muslim interests and even received funding for his presidential campaign from Libya. Although he officially claims to be an Anglican, Mwenda says, "[Odinga] has been very sympathetic to Muslims and some say he is a Muslim secretly."
· Odinga fits in nicely with Arab leaders' plans for Africa. When they convened in Nigeria in 2001, they released a statement indicating that Kenya is to play a key role in spreading Islam throughout southern Africa. Says Mwenda: "Odinga is a dangerous man. A dictator."
· Odinga has promised to enact Sharia law in "Muslim declared regions" of Kenya—meaning that pork would be outlawed, women could not drive and crimes would be punished according to Islamic tradition.

So why did Obama campaign for Odinga? Independent journalists around the world have been asking that question since 2006. Paula Abeles of African Press International wrote in August: "Clearly Obama campaigned for someone who is corrupt, ruthless and has financial ties to terrorists. … Senator Obama's actions—intentional or not—were in direct conflict with the efforts and interests of U.S. national security."

Many Kenyans are proud that a son of Kenya has a shot at the White House. But Kenya's evangelical Christians are less enthusiastic. Like Mwenda, many of them are also troubled that Obama's paternal grandmother has publicly stated that she sacrifices chickens and pours libations daily when praying for Obama to win the election. "She has been doing this since the [Democratic] primaries," Mwenda says.

"Something is about to go wrong in your country," Mwenda warned me.

I know many people who read my column will assume I am only writing it to boost John McCain's chances at the polls next week. Some of my critics have also assumed that I must have racist tendencies if I am not voting for Barack Obama.

They can assume what they want, but the truth is that I have made eight trips to Africa in the last seven years and it is my second home. I will return there in early 2009. If my situation allowed it I would move there permanently—I love the people, the culture and what the Holy Spirit is doing all over that beautiful continent.

This week I did my own informal poll of African church leaders in Nigeria and Kenya. What I found was that none of them support Obama. Like many American Christians, they are staunchly pro-life, they defend traditional marriage and they certainly do not support politicians who don't take the threat of militant Islam seriously.

They have seen enough torched churches and amputated arms to know better. They have seen Christian children thrown into the bottom of wells to die. They have seen Shariah law cast a dark pall over whole regions. They have watched as Middle Eastern governments pour millions of dollars into their local economies to build mosques and infrastructure and to buy votes.

I asked Pastor Mwenda how American Christians should pray in light of this sobering information. He told me: "I am praying that Obama does not win the White House. It is never too late for God. We can turn the tide. We need to pray: 'Our Father, Who art in heaven, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.' We must not allow anything in this nation that is not in His will."

J. Lee Grady is editor of Charisma. Many people responded to his column last week, and to the column by Kimberly Daniels that he attached to his message.

"America And the Spiritual Battle"

"America And The Spiritual Battle"

The season that is upon us here in America is a season of a Spiritual Battle. We are very close to election day 2008 and I will tell you this, America you must decide for yourself in what direction you want to go. You might not agree with me but I must speak the truth.

I truly believe that as a Christian, I am accountable for who I cast my vote for on Election day. I do not always vote straight party lines, but I must say, I will cast my vote for the one who stands for what is right morally and who has been declaring what He or she believes to be right according to the word of God. It is also important that you do the same.

We need to pray like never before here in America. We the church here in America needs to take a stand on the issues that are going to bring severe judgement from God onto this nation, such as abortion, and same sex marriage. We need to realize what the Bible declares in Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  God did not create Adam for Steve but He created man for woman, and woman for man. We need to realize that marriage was instituted by God for a man and woman. Same sex marriage is not going to get it.

"If same sex marriage comes about because we did not elect the right man for the job, America will be doomed."

I hope and pray that you are hearing what I am saying! Please seek God on these issues and make sure that on November the 4, 2008 you make the right choices and allow God's mercy to remain upon this nation.

We are accountable for what happens here in the USA. Church this a battle and it is time to fight back through prayer. What is your part in this battle? Do not just sit back and let Satan win!!

I pray that this blog has blessed you. To learn more about this ministry check out our web site and please sign our guest book. www.faithpowerministries.org

"Running The Race"

running man

"Running The Race"

1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. Running is something I used to do a lot of when i was in the Army. In fact I was once on a brigade long distance running team and we ran in the 1982 Tulsa Mini Marathon. I enjoyed running because it kept me in shape physically. What I want to get across here is also about running and I want to encourage you just as the Apostle paul was trying to encourage the Corinthians in this scripture about running the race because there is a prize to obtain.

In races where people run there is only one winner but in the race that is set before us we all can win if we run with patience, which could be translated as endurance. When I ran in the Army it helped me to build up an endurance. I was able to run a long time. We as Christians have a race set before us that we need to run in and we ned to lay aside everything that would hinder us from getting to the finsih line, and those things would be sin.

Sin will hold us back from finishing the race because they weigh us down, and it will casue us to be tired and worn out. This race in life should be focused on doing God's will which is His Word and run it with all diligence and we need to keep our eyes on Jesus because in this race all who finsih and keep the course that God laid out before us will be winners.

To finish this race you must remain faithful to God in all things and be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. Are you running the race that is set before us?

Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

"The Consequences Of Disobedience"

"The Consequences Of Disobedience"

1Samuel 15:23 For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king.

Rebellion is a dangerous thing. When the Lord tells you to do something, it is best that you do it and not hesitate in getting it done. God deals with disobedience different than what we would. When Saul was King of Israel he was told by the Lord to smite Amaalek, and utterly destroy all that they have and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. But Saul did not do that. he ended up sparing the life of Agag the king of the Amalekites and the best of the sheep, and oxen and the fatlings and lambs and all that was good. That was not what God told him to do.

And for disobeying the word of the Lord, judgment was brought upon Saul. The Lord ended up rejecting him from being king.  It is a terrible thing to be rejected from God. You will be rejected if you reject the word of God and what it says. You can read about the story in 1 Samuel chapter 15.

Judgment from God is nothing to play around with and the hour that we are living in is the hour to repent and make it right with God and to ask for His mercy instead of being rejected.

Words of Warning!!

2 Timothy 4:1-4  I charge [thee] therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears

And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

This is what the Lord has instructed me to do and I am going to do it.
